Lorna Hill is an illustrator, author and fine artist currently based in Suffolk, England.
Illustration
After studying illustration at Norwich University of the Arts, Lorna now specialises in children's books. Her stories are inspired by the natural world, and filled with emotion, highlighting important topics and challenges that children, and adults alike, often have to face.
Art
Predominantly specialising in oil painting, Lorna also works with an array of different materials, enjoying the freedom of multiple mediums and ways of expression.
Her oil paintings often feature a soft focus background, to put emphasis on a point of focus, and give the feel of a thought, feeling or memory. The artist explores her own emotions and conflicts, as well as those general to the human condition, portraying them symbolically through reflections of the natural world and human presence within in.
